Marley Fest

Sewards and I attended Marley fest yesterday, and it was quite an experience. We arrived at the Sports Arena at 11:45 and had to line up until 1:00 to get in. While we were waiting towards the back of the line some douche came up and asked which way the line was going....uhhh its actually a special line and we have to walk backwards into the Sports Arena....fucking stoner

Their were 13 acts in all, and the show wasn't over until 11:00 p.m. Here's a rundown of what was actually good:

Dezarie

She has a great roots reggae voice, and had some great songs...If you know who Sister Nancy is, you will like her for sure

Matisyahu

When he came on he blew the lid off the place. He played most of his hits, and some stuff from his new album. The M.C for the event made some back handed remarks about "now some reggae that's not on MTV" after he left, and called him Yatismahu......A LOT of people left after he left the stage. Also covered "Running Away" by Bob Marley....awesome

Gregory Isaacs

Has lost his voice. If you like his great voice from his albums, don't see him. His voice often cracked, and hurt to hear his songs be butchered by the person that wrote them

Barrington Levy

He was awesome. His set was log, he played all his hits, and even had Matisyahu come out to play a song with him. Great voice, great set

Besides that, the audio tech's suck, and their was often feedback and mic's cutting out. The MC's also said the same thing over and over again to stall. Besides that it was pretty good, but they should have had less acts, since 10 hours was a looong commitment
