Yesterday i was remembering a story about this guy that i met, and i thought that i would relay it here.
I was in San Diego for a going a way party for my friend Teddy, who is currently on a 1 year exodus around the world with his girlfriend. I met this guy at the party who was a ballroom dancer/instructor. Seems kinda like a strange profession, but the guy was actually really cool, and we started chatting about various random things. He asked me if i know who David Lynch is (of course) and he launches into this long story about how he is actually in San Diego to work with David on his new movie about the tango.
I guess he loved this guys passion, so he brought him in to learn everything he could about the tango. While they were discussing it, he mentioned to David that he has a very interesting way of speaking. David said that whenever he is speaking about something, he always ends what he says by saying someting outlandish on purpose, because whenever someone asks him a question, people stop paying attention halfway through because they already forsee what is going to be said, so they start to drift off. But when he says something abrupt, it jolts people back into being interested in the conversation.
i just thought that that was kinda interesteing
